GAME-COCKS!

In case y’all haven’t heard…the Carolina Baseball team won the College World Series National Championship!!! They lost the first game but fought back…whooping Clemson two games in a row to knock them out of the CWS (that was victory in and of itself for most Gamecock fans anyways) and then beating UCLA twice as well to take the grand prize!  Seeing as how I have a bunch of baseball lovin’ boys & my alma mater is Garnet & Black, we decided to join in on the festivities and head to downtown Columbia for the National Championship Parade this afternoon. 

It’s been pretty awesome to see the USC baseball flag flying over our State House for two days. 

Wyatt was taking it all in!  I know this will be a childhood memory he’ll never forget!  He was just in awe of the entire thing!

Luke didn’t want to miss a thing either…he is a people watcher just like his Momma!  Look closely and you can see his little fangs! :)  Seriously, a head full of hair after two bald older siblings and now his teeth are coming in all crazy?!?!

Wyatt and I were lucky enough to get really close (just a few people behind all the media).  Wyatt waited and waited until finally his favorite player took the trophy…Whit Merrifield hit in the winning run to win the Championship!  (He’s also their right fielder which is Wyatt’s favorite position to play.  So, that makes him extra special in Wyatt’s star-struck eyes!) 

Then after he had seen who he wanted to see…Wyatt had had enough of the crowd, wanted a slushie from Sonic & Luke was sound asleep in Scott’s arms.  So, we headed out of the crowd and beat the traffic back home!
