Many of you know that’s it has been our tradition to visit Annabelle’s special place after church on Sundays. We change her bow for the week, Scott says a prayer and Wyatt throws fastball pitches of kisses to her. I had gotten to a point where I just didn’t feel like it was as special as it should be because it was so routine. So, we decided that we would go when we needed it…when our hearts led us.
Fast forward to this past Sunday…
Scott and I decide while getting ready for church that morning that we needed to go to Annabelle’s. It had been a while and we missed being there. After church is over, we pull up to Annabelle’s flower town and my heart sinks as I see that her flowers are missing. Before I have even opened the door, I am blaming myself…I should have come sooner and I would have known, I wonder how long she’s been without flowers, and on and on. Women are multipliers and I had already put a thousand tons of blame on myself.
Y’all…God is so good.
Just as I am opening the door and stepping onto the grass towards her, a beautiful yellow butterfly flutters right past me…followed by another.
Annabelle likes things in two’s. It’s sort of her thing.
“The flowers are sweet, Mommy” she tells me “but, Heaven is so much sweeter.”

Praise you, Lord, for being in the tiniest things (like the butterflies flying up) that bring us such comfort and assurance.
He is good and forever faithful! Though all situations are unique, grief is similar, and you aren't alone in this! Don't ever forget that! :) You are a constant reminder of that to me!!!
It's so comforting to know that He knows exactly what we need, exactly when we need it. And thank YOU friend, for reminding us to look around us and take in his sweet reminders.
Hugs!!
I thought of you and your family the other day when the boys and I were outside and we literally had 20 or more little white butterflies flying around our pine trees. PTL on your Sunday visit!
How precious... If we just look we will see..
Love
