Our church just dedicated and opened our first recreational fields last night. This is huge to our church, to our community and especially to our family since my daddy has been the man in charge of it all! He began his ministry on the ball fields so I know this was a dream come true for him. What an incredible resource to draw others to Christ!
In true ball field fashion, there were popcorn, peanuts & Cracker Jacks for everyone!
Luke loved every second of it!
Praying & dedicating these fields to the Lord for His Glory!
The First Pitch…thrown by Grandaddy & caught by Wyatt! (Have I ever mentioned that baseball blood runs deep in my family? ;) Both my daddy & my husband pitched in college. I sure am glad my boys love it, too!)
The kids got to run the bases…
and had a fast pitch contest! Wyatt won for the 1st & 2nd grade division throwing the ball 40 mph!!! (Yes, at 6 years old! I think I’m getting out of the way next time he tosses me the ball!)
Scott got in on the action, too, for the adults’ Home Run Derby!
This sweet boy was soaking it all in!
Special bond these two have!
Grandaddy & both his grandsons…I love seeing this! When I was little, I remember he and my mother talking about praying for my future husband and that the Lord would one day bless me with children. It brings tears to my eyes to see my daddy with my boys…knowing that my mommy holds my girl. Oh, and y’all should have seen the butterfly that followed us around last night just before the fun began!

Smiles :) Beautiful Blessings!
The picture of your Dad with the Wyatt & Luke got me all choked up! Jack says that I'm the biggest mushball in the world! Sorry we missed all the fun last night.

I have enjoyed watching your photography improve; you have ability. You should do a post about it - what's in your bag, the software that you use, etc. Just a thought.
Wonderful pictures and what a great time and special memories for your family!!! I love that baseball runs in your blood :) What a neat post. Thanks for sharing this accomplishment of your dad's!
