Spring is coming!!! Last week, I replaced my pink, white and silver wreath for Annabelle’s birthday & Heart Day on the front door with a bright pink, lime, turquoise & yellow butterfly wreath that I made to celebrate Annabelle’s springtime Homegoing. Butterflies are already abounding around us…two white butterflies circled around the boys for hours last Thursday as they played in the sunshine. The Carolina Wrens were beginning a nest in the first wreath and wasted no time building an even bigger and better one in the butterfly wreath. The weather has been beautiful with a glorious forecast of 80 degrees or more each day this week coming!
Yesterday we were busy with opening day for Wyatt’s spring baseball season…including a home run from our slammer! Today included a worshipful morning at church followed by two great photo sessions for me this afternoon…and then I added a third session about ten minutes after I got home of my own boys. Our sweet neighbor that lets us use his barns and land for so many things (baseball field, pictures, you name it!) just got his new baby chicks and I was itching to get some pictures of the boys with them. But, before I went getting them all dressed in their springtime best I wanted to make sure that the little one would even get close to them. Wyatt was not fond of critters at 2 years of age so I didn’t want to get my hopes up with Luke… but goodness are my boys different! Wyatt is my cautious one, Luke jumps in head first…literally. And he was no different with the baby chick! :)
It looks like I will be pulling out some seersucker and having an “official” photo session soon! Oh, how I love the springtime!
