{Breathing Deeply Again}

When I stumbled to the coffee pot and found a note telling me to get ready for a weekend alone with the man of my dreams, I just said "let's go!" Scott had arranged for Bubba to come hold down the fort while we snuck away for 24 hours.  I didn't even know where we were going...but he knows me well enough to know to always take me to the beach...or at least very close to it!

So Charleston it was!

We stayed one block from the Charleston Harbor and walked everywhere. Divine!

We caught sunset over St. Michaels just in time on the rooftop restaurant.

We had fun walking around before dinner and posing not so formally with their decorations.

Burwells for steak!  Yes, please!

Best filet mignon ever.

And Anniversary truffles!  It's a thing now.  And it's perfect.

We went to bed by 9pm (hooray for not having to stay up for a teenage boy) and spent the morning taking a long walk around town.

Scott had looked up and researched alleys in Charleston so I kept joking that he was going to take me down one and I'd never come out.  But, I survived after all!  We liked this one...Stoll's Alley.  It had some beautiful architecture!

Good thing I wasn't photographing St. Philips this year...it's completely being renovated! Wow!

We did somehow stumble upon the Circular Church that I recognized from Outer Banks this season {thanks to Bub for getting me hooked}.  So I had to snap it to him!  He knew where we were right away too! It was a beautiful cemetery.

Then, we checked out late and made it early for burgers at Heavy's.  So good...full bellies and fuller hearts.  Every moment the two of us get together is the best gift!
