I guess I got inspired to finally do something about this red brick...and called Scott while he was out of town for work to ask "on a scale of 1-10, how mad will you be if I German schmear the fireplace?"
Bear helped me mix it up and away we went!
We all absolutely LOVE it! It isn't such an eye sore anymore. It's a long story but when we were building, Scott and I both tried to explain over and over and with photos to our builder and mason what we wanted in the foundation and fireplace. Let's just say they didn't understand the assignment. The fireplace was a little bit better than the foundation but still not what we wanted. Maybe I can figure out how to fix the tile grout on the kitchen backsplash next. haha!
And...we finally got the tree decorated! Thankful for acrobatic little girls!
and a man that's not afraid of heights and takes instructions very well!
